Why do people not use a profile photo

I can never understand why someone would come on a site like this and not post a profile photo! How do they expect to get replies when the recipient has no idea what they look like! Or do they have something to hide? I wonder!!!

It is not natural to not see someone. If someone wants to put in serious efforts in finding someone they will post a picture. And if they don't
or won't then I won't waste my time.
